Country music star Jelly Roll has confirmed he has lost an incredible 200 pounds and is now setting his sights on shedding another 50 as part of his ongoing weight-loss journey.
The 40-year-old singer shared his latest health milestone in a motivational speech to the Tennessee Titans, captured in a video posted on X. A lifelong fan of the NFL team, the Nashville native was invited by head coach Brian Callahan to speak to the players during training camp ahead of their pre-season games.
During his surprise appearance, Jelly Roll joked with the team, “I can’t get on the field just yet, but I’m getting close. I’ve lost 200 pounds. I told Coach if I lose another 50, I’m getting a contract.” His remarks were met with cheers and applause from the players and staff.

A Weight-Loss Journey That Started in 2022
Jelly Roll began his transformation in December 2022, and has been open about his progress with fans ever since. In April 2024, during Pat McAfee’s “Big Night AHT” event, he announced he had dropped 183 pounds, going from 540 pounds to 357 pounds.
At the time, he set a bold personal challenge: “I’m going to lose another 100 pounds and go skydiving with my wife!” The singer has been married to Bunnie Xo since 2016.

The Biggest Battle – Overcoming Food Addiction
Speaking to Fox News Digital in May 2025, Jelly Roll revealed that food addiction has been his greatest obstacle in losing weight.
“If you’re really battling obesity, you’ve got to start at the dinner table,” he said. “Walking’s great, exercise is great, but you’ve got to fight that addiction right there at the dinner table.”
The “Save Me” singer has compared his fight with overeating to his past struggles with drug addiction. In an interview with People magazine, he explained: “The battle was with the food addiction — changing the way I’ve looked at food for the last 39 years. I’ve never had a healthy relationship with food, so that was the hard part. But once you get into that discipline and commitment, it’s like an avalanche. Once that little snowball started rolling, it was on its way.”
Training, Touring, and Staying Consistent

In October 2024, his trainer revealed in an Instagram video that Jelly Roll had surpassed the 100-pound weight-loss mark and was keeping active even during his tour. His routine included walking around arenas, playing basketball, and boxing between performances.
By December 2024, on his wife’s “Dumb Blonde” podcast, Jelly Roll explained why he chose to make his weight-loss journey public:
“I did this publicly for a reason. I wanted to be honest about my struggles. I wore it for so long. Most people who get as big as I did hide while they lose weight, then reappear looking different and not knowing how to navigate the world again. I wanted to do it in front of everyone, bring people along with me.”

The Goal – Men’s Health Cover in 2026
Now, Jelly Roll has set his sights on a new dream: “I want to be on the cover of Men’s Health by March of 2026. That’s my goal — I want to have one of the biggest transformations ever.”
His journey, marked by transparency, dedication, and personal battles, has inspired fans worldwide, proving that lasting change starts with determination and the courage to confront your struggles head-on.
